IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR

Shane started performing when he was 3 years old as a part of the “Rolling Diamonds” roller skating act with his parents,  he would start performing his juggling act in 1984 at age 10.

Alecia started performing with her family and their flying trapeze act at age 9, and at age 12 would present her own “Cloudswing act” that she currently performs in the fair show.

Olivia started performing at age 3.

Madison started performing at age 2.

ALL IN A DAYS WORK

setup_fair_backgroundIt takes approx. 7 hours to fully set up the show, and about 3 hours to tear it down, which Shane & Alecia do all by themselves.

Shane hammers 19 four foot tall tent stakes into the ground at each fair.

Alecia makes all the costumes used in the show, she is an excellent seamstress.

Because of all the movement and sweating, the costume shirts Shane uses in the trampoline act only last 1-3 weeks, new ones are made by Alecia.

The roller skates are custom made by Shane’s father, John Hansen and are able to slide on and off the boots with a special locking mechanism.

The blind folds used in the skating act are double knitted velvet fabric, and are impossible to see through.

Shane and Alecia design and make all the equipment seen in the show such as the roller skating platform, high cloudswing A-frame, backdrop frames, ect..

Alecia chose the blue and white color scheme of the show, believing blue promotes happiness, and red (which is the color of most circus tents) promotes anger.

When Shane was 12 years old he was in multiple scenes in the movie “Barnum” staring Burt Lancaster, the movie was about the life and times of showman P.T. Barnum.
